Music at St. Alban’s complements and enriches
our worship experience through its scope and diversity. The Chancel
Choir is comprised of volunteers and is open to all
who love to sing. They sing each week at the 11:00 a.m. Eucharist,
with rehearsals
from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday nights, September through
May. Repertoire ranges from Renaissance polyphony of the great
masters to contemporary
classical music, including new works by American composers.
The Children’s Choir is open to children
from 3rd through 7th grades and incorporates the Royal School
of Church Music’s “Voice
for Life” curriculum. It is an opportunity for fun, fellowship,
and quality music education steeped in a rich Anglican tradition
while embracing the diverse elements of world music. The Children’s
Choir sings monthly at the 8:45 a.m. Eucharist and rehearses every
Wednesday afternoon at 4:45 p.m. during the school
year.
